Our acclaimed estate welcomes guests with upscale seated tasting experiences by reservation only. Clos Solène is seeking a passionate and service-oriented Estate Host to join our hospitality team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating highly personalized guest experiences and sharing the story behind exceptional wines. The Estate Host plays an essential role in delivering refined, relationship-driven hospitality while helping cultivate lasting connections with our guests and members.
About the Role
As an Estate Host, you will serve as an ambassador for Clos Solène, guiding guests through curated tasting experiences that reflect the warmth, authenticity, and quiet luxury of our estate. You will tailor each experience to the individual guest, share the story of our winery and wines, and ensure every visit feels personal and memorable.
This role goes beyond traditional tasting room service. You will help cultivate relationships with guests, support wine club growth through genuine engagement, and contribute to the overall excellence of the Clos Solène hospitality program.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver highly personalized, luxury-level tasting experiences for guests visiting the estate.
- Welcome guests warmly and set the tone for a memorable and engaging visit.
- Share the story of Clos Solène, our vineyards, and winemaking philosophy in an authentic and engaging way.
- Tailor tasting experiences based on guest preferences, pace, and level of wine knowledge.
- Drive wine sales and wine club memberships through thoughtful, relationship-driven engagement.
- Build meaningful connections with guests and recognize returning visitors to create a sense of belonging.
- Accurately collect and enter guest contact information, preferences, and visit notes into reservation and CRM systems.
- Send thoughtful follow-up communication after visits to maintain guest relationships and encourage future engagement.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Clos Solène wines, vineyards, and production methods through ongoing education.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure tasting spaces remain polished and guest-ready at all times.
- Support winery events and elevated private experiences when needed.
Qualifications
- 1 years of hospitality, customer service, or tasting room experience preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional presence.
- Passion for wine and enthusiasm for sharing the Clos Solène story with guests.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Comfortable engaging with guests in both educational and social tasting environments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Weekend availability required.
