Position: After School Youth Enrichment Instructor
Department: Cloquet Community Education
Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay: $21.04–$26.48 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday
- Afternoon hours
- Approximately 2–3 hours per day
- Follows the school-year calendar

Position Summary
The After School Youth Enrichment Instructor develops, leads, and supervises engaging after-school clubs, classes, and enrichment activities that help students learn, build relationships, and discover new interests.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise after-school enrichment activities
- Foster positive relationships with elementary school students
- Plan engaging academic, artistic, recreational, and hands-on learning experiences
- Monitor student attendance and ensure a safe, inclusive environment
- Supervise program aides and volunteers as assigned
- Communicate with the After School Enrichment Coordinator regarding student needs, incidents, and program operations
- Prepare supplies, organize activity spaces, and provide daily snacks
- Maintain clean, organized classrooms and program areas
- Collaborate with school staff and community partners to expand enrichment opportunities
- Assist with special projects, fundraising efforts, and program improvements
- Support Community Education's mission by promoting teamwork, professionalism, and respect
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children or youth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and lead multiple activities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field
