Shipping/ Receiving Clerk Shipping/Receiving Clerk Page 1 of 3 April 2026 TITLE: Shipping/ Receiving Clerk BUSINESS UNIT: REPORTS TO: Operations Director FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt LOCATION: Schaumburg, IL REVISION DATE: 04/24/24 SUMMARY The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for completing paperwork, maintaining schedules, and ensuring all paperwork for domestic and international shipments is complete and error free. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk provides information both internally and externally for a predominant portion of the day. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Essential Functions: • Provide a strong level of customer service to internal and external customers • Maintain inbound and outbound schedules Complete paperwork to make sure it is error free and prepare orders for distribution to Operations Specialists • Process and schedule all carrier appointments • Receive in, verify items within, and put away in proper locations shipments delivered • Distribute deliveries/ shipments to proper recipients • Communicate with customer on scheduling issues • Sign driver in and out of the facility; verifying all paperwork • Assign dock doors to the inbound and outbound loads Maintain door accuracy and yard report for trailer inventory • Process Bills of Lading and associated shipping and receiving documents • Reconcile inbounds with packing slips and coordinate drop lot activity • Work closely with management and leads to accomplish goals • Report errors and/ or issues to appropriate member of leadership to ensure accuracy • Cross train for customer service, quoting in house repairs, and administration duties associated • Participate in all training programs provided • Perform all duties in a safe and timely manner • Maintain organized records • Participate in inventory process • Additional duties as assigned POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: • High School Diploma or GED required
