Pay: $15 per hour starting (plus additional) - “unlimited” PTO (as long as everything is covered and the job gets done, max 40 hours PTO paid per week)

Position Summary
As a Beertender, you are the face of Clock & Candle Brewatorium. You will provide exceptional customer service while serving beer and other beverages, educating guests about our products, maintaining a clean and organized taproom, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.
This position requires someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and understands that every guest interaction represents our brewery.
Responsibilities
- Welcome every guest with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout each visit.
- Pour beer according to brewery standards for quality and presentation.
- Learn and confidently explain our beers, brewing process, ingredients, and seasonal offerings.
- Recommend beverages based on guest preferences.
- Serve non-alcoholic beverages, seltzers, and other menu offerings.
- Accurately operate the toast POS system
- Verify identification and comply with all alcohol service laws.
- Recognize signs of intoxication and responsibly refuse service when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and taproom.
- Wash and polish glassware following brewery sanitation procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Restock merchandise, glassware, and bar supplies.
- Help maintain indoor and outdoor seating areas.
- Assist with brewery events, releases, festivals, and private parties.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
- Follow all brewery SOPs, safety policies, and cleanliness standards.
Hours of work will look like the following
(not set in stone)
- Monday/Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday/Thursday: 5 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
- Friday/Saturday: 3 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
- Sunday: 2 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Previous experience in bartending or breweries.
- Passion for the community, craft beer, and a willingness to learn.
Required:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Must be 21 (sampling is required for product knowledge)
