Special Education Teachers-Self Contained Classroom - Clintondale High School

Open Position:  (2) SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER- Self Contained Classroom – Clintondale High School

SUMMARY

Looking for dynamic teachers for the 2026-2027 school year who will be responsible for working with special needs students such as those who have learning, physical, emotional or mental disabilities or challenges in a high school self-contained room setting.

COMPENSATION

The compensation is outlined in the 2025-2028 CEA collective bargaining master agreement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess individual students to determine the most appropriate teaching strategies and develop a teaching plan, (Individual Development Plan – IDP).
• Communicates with parents to discuss student progress
• Participates in curriculum development programs as required
• Attends staff meetings as required by the Building Principal
• Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal and Director of Special Education.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate, license or other legal credential required
• Learning Disabilities (SM)Endorsement Required 
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and acceptable
