Responsibilities:
Generations’ employees provide the care necessary for each client to remain safe and comfortable in his/her environment. Assigned jobs are to be done in an efficient, cheerful and calm manner while showing respect for the wishes and living patterns of the elderly person(s) being served.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Follow the provided care plan to ensure quality and safe delivery of home care services to the client
- Report to the office, as required, on client’s condition and significant changes, and maintain all records
- Provide personal care as needed including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, AM and PM care
- Keep client’s living area clean and orderly, as appropriate
- Provide emotional support to the client and other members of the household
- Provide mental stimulation through recreational activities, mental acuity exercises, conversation, etc
- Drive clients to planned outings or events and perform errands
- Prepare nutritional meals and encourage proper nutritional habits
- Encourage and assist with exercise
- Encourage client’s independence in carrying out all tasks
- Basic housekeeping such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, organizing and laundry
Requirements:
- Passion for providing excellent care
- Reliability with a good work ethic
- Current New Jersey CHHA license
- Valid driver’s license in good standing required
