What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraeducator position at Clinton Public Schools?
Under general supervision, assists the classroom teacher by performing a variety of tasks relating to the instructional, behavioral, and personal assistance needs of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED and one of the following:
- Associate's degree; or
- Minimum of 60 college credits; or
- Passing score on the ParaPathways Assessment
- Successful experience working with children preferred, but training will be provided
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Position Details:
- Start Date: August 19, 2026
- 10-month, school-year position
- 7:30 AM - 2:15 PM with 30-minute, unpaid lunch (6.25 paid hours per day)
- Hourly wage in accordance with the Paraeducators collective bargaining agreement
- Sick and Personal time
- Eligible for enrollment in non-certified pension plan
- Qualifies for health/dental benefits
