TITLE: Assistant Teacher Pre-K
REPORTS TO: Supervising Teacher and Principal
LENGTH OF CONTRACT OR WORK YEAR: 9 months (187 days)
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in improving students’ skills in all academic areas as directed by the teacher.
- Promotes a positive image of the school district program to the public.
- Keeps records as directed by the teacher.
- Attends parent-teacher conferences as directed by the teacher.
- Exhibits high expectations for self and students.
- Demonstrates continued growth by participation in professional development activities.
- Adheres to all safety procedures, rules, and policies to ensure the well-being of all students.
- Reports regularly and punctually to assigned work location and notifies principal or designee of impending absence in a timely manner.
- Maintains active supervision of students during all work and duty assignments.
- Maintains confidentiality of all student information.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the teacher and/or principal.
- Regular in person attendance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Early Childhood Associate's Degree OR
- Associate's Degree AND 12 early childhood college credit hours OR completion of an early childhood program OR
- High School Diploma/GED AND verification of WorkKeys Scores (Silver level certification) AND 12 early childhood college credit hours OR completion of an early childhood training program.
