Job Description: Middle School Science Teacher

Reports To: Gene Ray, Principal
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Core Objective
To deliver high-quality science instruction that fosters critical thinking, scientific literacy, and inquiry-based learning for students in grades 6–8.
Primary Responsibilities

Instruction: Design and implement standards-based lessons (NGSS) covering Life, Physical, and Earth Sciences.

Lab Leadership: Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiences, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and equipment maintenance.

Assessment: Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.

Classroom Management: Establish a structured, inclusive learning environment conducive to adolescent development.

Collaboration: Participate in grade-level and departmental meetings to align curriculum and analyze student data.
