Overview

Join our dynamic mental health team as a Community Mental Health Therapist, specializing in providing compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse populations. As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor ( LPC)you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health services, including individual, group, and family therapy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community by supporting individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help foster resilience, recovery, and well-being through innovative treatment approaches and collaborative care.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments and clinical diagnoses utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute psychiatric episodes effectively and ensure patient safety.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, incorporating patient goals, progress notes, and medical records within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including psychiatrists, case managers, educators, and medical professionals—to coordinate care for individuals with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
  • Engage in ongoing research and data collection to enhance clinical practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience working in community mental health settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management techniques.
  • Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families—especially those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or complex behavioral needs.
  • Strong crisis management skills with the ability to perform mental health assessments during emergency situations effectively.
  • Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
  • Proficiency in telehealth therapy platforms and electronic health record systems ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; experience working within inpatient or outpatient clinics preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts.
  • Commitment to ethical practice standards in clinical documentation, treatment planning, and patient confidentiality.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $74,813.87 per year
