The Dietetic Technician is part of the consulting team that oversees the nutritional and dietary needs of residents within the facility. They assist in the development of dietary orders, nutritional supplementation and counseling needs for resident care plans, in coordination with other facility team members. Our Diet Tech ensures that nutritional requirements are incorporated into dining services production and operations, and provides guidance, recommendations, documentation, and control of resident nutritional needs in the facility. The Dietetic Technician will work under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian.
Key Responsibilities
Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health plans.
Completes Nutritional Assessments, MDS, Care Plans
Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
Perform monthly quality inspections/audits of meals served in conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
Advise Food and Nutrition Services Manager and organization on sanitation, safety procedures, and planning to assist with the establishment, operation and evaluation of food service facilities and nutrition programs and more.
Willing to travel within your designated region
Minimum Qualifications
Degree from an accredited Dietetic Technician program
LTC Experience Preferred But Not Required, Will Train.
Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
