Within Therapy Services, the Acute Care Physical Therapist practices in a setting that is part of an excellent health system with strong system-wide clinical and specialty support; modern community hospital offering ED, ICU, surgery, imaging, and inpatient care; broad rural service line focus including women’s health, cardiopulmonary, and orthopedics. Reporting to the Therapy Services Manager, the PT collaborates with friendly nurses and a diverse team of physicians, APPs, OT/SLP, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, and case management; a PT drives comprehensive evaluations, early mobility across ICU and acute units, evidence-based treatment, efficient documentation, discharge planning, and patient-family education while contributing to safety, quality, and throughput initiatives.
