Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive oral examinations and evaluations
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide general dentistry services including:
- Preventative care and cleanings
- Fillings and restorations
- Extractions
- Root canals and endodontic procedures
- Other procedures within the scope of general dentistry
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and appropriate follow-up care
- Prescribe medications as clinically appropriate
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including X-rays and treatment histories
- Coordinate referrals to specialists when advanced treatment is needed
- Follow OSHA, infection control, and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Active, unrestricted South Carolina dental license or ability to obtain
- CPR/BLS certification
- Current DEA certification
- NPI number
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based dentistry
