Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Trauma & Surgical Services
Location: Toledo, Ohio
Clinical Magnet (part of ICON Medical) is seeking a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide overnight coverage for Trauma, Surgical ICU, General Surgery, and Vascular Surgery services.
This is a DIRECT HIRE, full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities Of The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Provide overnight in-house call coverage for trauma, surgical ICU, general surgery, and vascular surgery patients
- Respond to Level I and II trauma activations and conduct emergent surgical consultations
- Admit surgical patients requiring inpatient care
- Perform bedside procedures after training, including suturing, I&D, line placement, and chest tube placement
- Assist in the operating room as needed
- Manage urgent overnight floor calls and coordinate care with the attending physician
- Precept and educate students rotating on service as needed
- Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; Master’s degree required
- Current Ohio NP licensure and national certification
- Certificate of Authority (COA) to practice as an NP
- BLS certification required
- Eligible for DEA/Certificate to Prescribe
- Prior trauma, critical care, or surgical experience preferred
