What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Laboratory Sample Receiving Technician position at Clinical Lab of San Bernardino, Inc.?
We are an environment laboratory looking for an entry level technician in our sample receiving division. Scheduled shift would be Monday thru Friday 11 am to 7:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Accepting water, wastewater, and solid samples from clients, couriers, and shipping agents.
- Assuring samples are received within proper temperature, preservation, and container guidelines.
- Entering sample information/required analyses into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Dividing, labeling, and delivering samples to proper storage refrigerators, storage areas, or analysts.
- Preparing sample containers and client bottle orders.
- Working as a liaison with clients and laboratory project managers.
Skills
- Prior computer usage in a commercial/business setting.
- Attention to detail; ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Ability to interact with clients and staff members in a professional manner.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- College degree.
