About the Role:
- Processes and delivers the clinical equipment distributed by the Equipment Distribution Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes cleaning processes that are consistent with hospital infection control standards.
- Inspects equipment according to department procedures. Provides support with equipment handling to the Clinical Engineering Department as required.
- Responds to patient rooms for discharge calls within 15 minutes of receiving call.
- Ensures all Central Distribution equipment and related accessories are removed from the room and reprocessed according to procedure.
- Delivers requested equipment to clinical areas within ten minutes of receiving call.
- Performs equipment rounds according to department procedure.
- Ensures the equipment storeroom is clean and organized at the end of the shift.
- Properly handles dirty equipment according to department procedure.
- Performs the appropriate inspection, processing and charging of equipment according to department procedure.
- Identifies equipment in need of repair or preventive maintenance and pulls it for service.
- Unboxes, assembles and assists with the installation of new equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: HS Diploma/GED preferred
- Experience: Prior related experience
Rate is $17 to $18/hour dependent on experience and internal equity
