Our Story
Clinvet South Dakota is a global veterinary contract research organization (CRO) that conducts preclinical and clinical trials to evaluate the safety, metabolism, and efficacy of animal health products. Clinvet SD is part of the Clinglobal group, which focuses on animal health and consists of various CROs dedicated to supporting innovation and product development.
Primary Job Role:
As a Research Study Technical Support, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the health and care of our livestock production animals, including swine, cattle, poultry, and more. You will also assist with routine basic study activities and provide support to the research team.
This position requires routine standing, moving, and lifting for extended periods of time.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Observe animals regularly, recognizing and reporting changes in eating or drinking habits, general behaviors, and outward signs of disease or abnormal appearance.
- Provide basic animal husbandry for study animals, such as feeding and watering animals according to schedules and feeding instructions.
- Do facility laundry and clean, organize, maintain, and disinfect animal rooms and facilities
- Record and/or maintain animal health data or other data necessary for the operation of the facility or study conduct.
Provide routine assistance in study activities, common and more advanced technical procedures, and record-keeping responsibilities, following prescribed procedures and instructions, such as:
- Handling and restraining animals
- Observing and reporting changes in behaviors
- Assist in collecting specimens
- Recording and maintaining animal health data
- Assist with administering medications and treatments
- Mixing, dispensing, and storing feeds and special diets
- Assist with transferring animals, equipment, and supplies

Qualifications, Training, and Experience Requirements:
- No prior experience is required; however, candidates with relevant experience and education are encouraged to apply.
-Experience in the operation of skid loader, tractor, and the ability to drive livestock trailers is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The employee must communicate effectively by talking, listening, reading, and writing professionally.
Employee must hold a valid driver’s license.
At all times, the employee must be sober and free from the influence of any substances, including alcohol and legal recreational drugs, which could impair the ability to ensure the safety of animals, other staff members, and the quality of work.
Ability to regularly lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
Ability to remain on your feet and in constant motion for the duration of an eight-hour shift.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
As a full-time employee, you will be eligible for Clinvet's insurance offerings, including health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance.
You will also be eligible to participate in the Clinvet 401(k) retirement plan, with the company matching up to 4% of your pay after one year of employment.
This position provides paid time off (PTO) and offers time and a half for working on holidays.
Other Information:
The position of Research Study Technical Support is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work per week.
This position requires working on the weekend, some holidays, as well as overtime, depending on company needs.
