Who We Are:
Clinvet US is a global veterinary contract research organization (CRO) that conducts in vitro, preclinical, and clinical trials to evaluate animal health products' safety, metabolism, and efficacy. Clinvet is part of the Clinglobal group,
an animal health-focused group of CROs dedicated to supporting innovation and product development. With a wealth of research experience, Clinvet has supported leading global animal health companies, small and medium-sized companies, and start-ups with their research and development programs since 1999.
Primary Purpose:
To assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of animal rooms and caging as well as study room set up and breakdown.
This position will routinely be standing, moving, and lifting for extended periods of time. Day to day activities include physical work such as removal of animal and general waste, sanitization of animal areas, moving of animal food and bedding, and the maintenance/upkeep of animal areas.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Removal of animal and general waste.
- Sanitization and decontamination of animal areas before and after studies.
- Transport of animal food and bedding.
- To perform set up and breakdown of study rooms.
- Maintenance and upkeep of animal cages and animal rooms.
- Transportation of animals.
Qualifications, Training, and Experience Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with lab animals or animal facility operations preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maneuver 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work the duration of an eight-hour shift, on your feet, in constant motion.
- The employee is required to communicate effectively by talking, listening, reading, and writing in a professional manner.
- At all times, be sober and clear of influence of any substances including alcohol and legal recreational drugs, which may affect the ability of user, safety of animals and other staff members, and work quality in any manner.
Salary and Benefits:
- This position pays at an hourly rate of $16.00-$18.00 per hour determined by the candidates experience and qualifications.
- As a full-time employee you will be eligible to participate in Clinvet's insurance offerings including, health, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life.
- In your first year employed you will accrue up to 3 weeks of paid time off. After your first year the amount in which you accrue increases.
- You will be eligible to participate in the Clinvet 401k retirement plan where the company will match up to 5% of your pay.
Other Information:
- Attendant: Animal Facility Support is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
- This position's work schedule is Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm. On occasion this position can be asked to work on weekends or outside of regular working hours.
