Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, and manage full project lifecycle from initiation to closure
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, IT staff, analysts, and Epic representatives to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives
- Change Management: Facilitate end-user training, workflow design, and adoption of Epic systems to minimize operational disruption
- Integration Oversight: Coordinate integration of Epic with existing systems, i.e. Oracle, or third-party clinical tools
- Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to HIPAA, GDPR, and internal security standards
- Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress, report on KPIs, and provide updates to executive sponsors and PMOs
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate new Epic modules, recommend enhancements, and optimize system performance post-implementation
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Epic Certification: Proficiency in Epic modules such as EpicCare, Resolute, or Cadence
- Project Management Expertise: Knowledge of PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies
- Healthcare IT Knowledge: Understanding of EHR systems, clinical workflows, patient data management, and regulatory compliance
- Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with executives, clinicians, and IT staff
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Navigate complex challenges creatively while maintaining project momentum
Educations/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, IT, project management, or a related field
- Experience in hospital operations, clinical workflows, or health informaticsprojectmanagertemplate.com.
- Epic certification through an authorized providerprojectmanagertemplate.com.
- 3–5 years of project management experience in IT or healthcare IT projects
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is often preferred
