We are eligible for assistance with student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corp.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatments in compliance with state and federal regulations, including DEA guidelines.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, skin biopsy, etc, and sterile processing when necessary to support patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and medical records management.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties such as gastroenterology, critical care, emergency medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, and more to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and deliver remote patient management when appropriate.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, medical imaging, or specimen collection/processing techniques.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality of all patient information during documentation and communication.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient medical documentation and workflow management.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to diverse clinical environments.
- Family practice experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate billing and documentation.
- Capable of providing comprehensive primary care services including family planning, nutrition counseling, and post-acute care planning to all age groups.
