Essential Functions

  • Ensures site compliance with research protocols by reviewing all regulatory requirements to confirm implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities
  • Provides accurate and timely data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting in both sponsor and ClinCept databases
  • Appropriately screens and recruits study participants for participation in clinical research studies
  • Interfaces with research participants to support efforts to determine eligibility and consenting of study participants according to protocol
  • Communicates and collaborates specific study requirements to the research team, including internal and external parties, sponsors, monitors, PI, and study participants
  • Ensures compliance with research protocols by providing ongoing quality control audits, including maintaining ongoing investigational drug accountability
  • Disburses investigational drug and provides patient teaching regarding administration, as necessary.
  • Coordinates and performs the collection, handling, processing, and shipping of specimens
  • Completes study visits for any study they are delegated to in accordance with company expectations
  • Participates in/on a variety of meetings, committees, and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding programs, information resources, services, and/or other pertinent information as appropriate.  Cultivates and manages relationships with key stakeholders.

Schedule: 8am-4pm Monday-Thursday & 8am-12pm Friday (32 hours a week)

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Depending on the assigned area of responsibility, work will either be performed primarily in an office environment or in an outdoor environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Frequent walking, standing, lifting, stooping, or carrying equipment and materials may be required. Clinical Research Coordinators may be required to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree in life sciences or educational equivalent
  • Relevant work experience in a clinical environment or medical setting is preferred
  • Analytical mindset

Knowledge of:

  • Principles and practices in assigned projects/studies
  • ClinCept operations, principles, and practices
  • Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes and/or statutes

Skills in:

  • Coordinating activities with other internal study-related vendors
  • Managing and executing and projects in an independent environment
  • Adhering to applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations

Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively through oral and written mediums
  • Solve problems and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Work independently and in group settings
  • Remain calm under high pressure/difficult situations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
