What You'll Do
As a Manufacturing Lab Assistant, you'll help verify that materials, processes, and finished products meet quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities include:
- Inspect incoming materials and finished products for quality and specification compliance
- Perform product testing and record results accurately
- Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing devices
- Assist with first article inspections and process evaluations
- Maintain calibration records and support calibration activities
- Document nonconformances and assist with corrective action follow-up
- Compile quality data and assist with quality reporting
- Support internal audits and quality system requirements
- Work with production teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree, technical certificate, or coursework in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Quality, Electronics, or a related field preferred
- Manufacturing, inspection, testing, laboratory, or quality experience preferred
- Experience using measuring and inspection equipment is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality systems
- Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, or work instructions
- ASQ certification or related technical certifications
