JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Specialist to drive execution, visibility, and growth for Climbing Kites at the retail level. The Sales Specialist is the frontline representative of the brand, responsible for visiting accounts daily; ensuring distribution, visibility, and execution excellence; and building strong relationships with distributor sales teams and retail partners. This role exists to ensure our products are not only available but also seen, understood, and loved by wholesalers, retailers, and consumers.

The ideal candidate is located in the Midwest, is a highly-motivated self starter that has strong follow-through skills. The ideal candidate also has a strong understanding of beverage sales, experience working with beverage and alcohol wholesalers and retailers, and is able to execute event marketing, trade programming, and local brand building.

Key ResponsibilitiesField Marketing & Brand Activation
  • Develop and execute localized marketing plans to drive brand awareness, trial, and consumer engagement.

  • Identify, plan, and manage experiential marketing opportunities, including events, festivals, sampling programs, and partnerships.

  • Train and oversee brand ambassadors, ensuring consistent messaging and proper brand representation in alignment with brand standards.

  • Build relationships with local influencers, community partners, and event organizers to extend brand presence.

Trade Marketing & Sales Support
  • Manage the point of sale and trade marketing programs to support sell-in and sell-through, including promotions, point-of-sale (POS) materials, and merchandising displays.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify priority accounts and tailor programs for key retail partners.

  • Manage the ordering and procurement of POS materials, ensuring timely delivery and brand compliance.

  • Track, measure, and optimize trade programs and event activations to maximize ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of field and trade initiatives.

  • Provide market feedback to inform product development, pricing, and positioning strategies.

  • Work closely with creative teams to develop compelling, on-brand materials for both field and trade use.

Budget & Reporting
  • Manage budgets for field and trade marketing programs, ensuring cost-effective execution.

  • Monitor and report on program performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, event outcomes, and promotional impact.

Physical Demands

This position may require in-field work and/or at events and activations.. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Additionally extended periods of standing or sitting as it relates to events and travel may be needed.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position estimating 40 hours of work/ days and may vary from week-to-week. Due to the nature of the business events and nights/weekends may be needed.

Travel

Occasional travel between locations or out in the market is required for this position. A valid driver’s license and method of transportation is required for this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 4-6 years in field marketing, trade marketing or brand activation preferably in the beverage, hospitality and/or CPG industries.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure and analyze campaign performance.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and CRM tools; familiarity with VIP iDig and industry standard software is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel (30-50%) for events, retail visits and market activations.

Ability to lift and transport event materials (up to ~50lbs)



Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
