- Set boulder problems and sport routes with a focus on creativity and accessibility across a wide range of skill levels
- Forerun climbs to align with gym grading standards, movement goals, and member experience
- Collaborate with the setting team and gym leadership to uphold a positive and consistent work environment
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to routesetting, including proper use of PPE, ropes, and ladders
- Perform regular maintenance including cleaning holds, organizing hardware, and safety inspections
- Regularly evaluate climbs, holds, and wall structures to identify and address any safety or maintenance issues
- Engage in team meetings, feedback discussions, and ongoing efforts to calibrate grading and setting style
- Provide support for gym programming such as events, clinics, competitions, and specialized setting projects when needed
- 1 years of indoor route setting experience preferred
- Strong climbing movement knowledge across a range of styles
- Ability to set for multiple skill levels with attention to progression and accessibility
- Comfortable working at height and using standard route setting tools and PPE
- Ability to take and apply feedback in a collaborative team setting
- Strong time management and reliability
- Positive attitude and professional communication
- $20–25 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
- Part-time and full-time available
