Job Duties
- Greet and assist members and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor. Answer questions about memberships, classes, events, and gym policies.
- Handle member sign-ups, holds, and retail transactions using Approach. Promote climbing programs, classes, and merchandise.
- Ensure the front desk and common areas are clean and organized. Monitor the gym environment to maintain safety and order.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries, passing on messages to the appropriate staff.
- Verify waivers, memberships, and passes during check-in. Help new visitors complete waivers and understand gym rules.
- Assist with the setup and operation for events and competitions hosted by the gym.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally, escalating issues to management as needed.
- Administer top rope and lead belay tests as well as auto belay orientations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good attitude, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills
- Able to lift at least 50lbs
- Able to move across uneven surfaces
- Familiarity with bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing
