Company Overview Climatic Testing Systems Inc. (CTS) designs and installs state-of-the-art environmental testing facilities for the automotive and HVAC industries. Our systems support cutting-edge R&D in next-generation automotive technologies and “green” air-conditioning solutions. We are seeking a driven, hands-on Field Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional on-site support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform equipment start-up, commissioning, and system integration at customer sites
- Conduct repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on refrigeration, mechanical, and control systems
- Deliver training to customer personnel on operation and maintenance procedures
- Execute equipment assessments and coordinate on-site retrofits with the factory
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls issues
- Represent CTS professionally in customer meetings and technical discussions
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial or industrial refrigeration systems, including start-up and repair
- Demonstrated experience with electrical power distribution and instrumentation & controls
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical components (fans, motors, pumps, control valves, pneumatic devices, steam generators)
- Proficiency with sensors, switches, AC/DC motors, contactors, solid-state relays, heaters, and safety devices
- Solid understanding of mechanical assembly drawings and electrical schematics
- Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and instrumentation & controls
- EPA Section 608 certification (Universal) required for refrigerant handling
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general PC skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the environmental test chamber industry
- Associates degree (or equivalent military training) in HVAC Technology, Power Distribution & Controls, or Electro/Mechanical Engineering Technology
Travel & Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically (overnight stays required)
- Valid U.S. passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and overseas
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Clean criminal background check
