Job Title: SAP S/4HANA RISE Technical Architect / SAP Basis Architect

Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern the SAP S/4HANA technical architecture and Basis strategy for the RISE with SAP environment.
- Lead SAP technical landscape planning covering Development, Quality, Pre-Production, Production, Sandbox and supporting environments, as applicable.
- Coordinate with SAP RISE teams for environment provisioning, infrastructure readiness, technical services, incidents, service requests and operational dependencies.
- Define technical requirements and dependencies for the Selective Data Transition, including source/target readiness and production migration activities.
- Work closely with the SDT/Data Migration team on technical prerequisites for migration cycles, mock conversions, dress rehearsals and final production migration.
- Own Basis-related activities within the cutover plan, including system availability, transports, technical validation, interfaces, background jobs, connectivity and post-migration checks.
- Lead technical readiness assessments for mock cutovers and production go-live.
- Define and validate connectivity between the RISE landscape and on-premises/cloud applications, third-party systems, middleware and other enterprise platforms.
- Coordinate technical topics relating to SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Cloud ALM and integration platforms, where applicable to the solution.
- Work with security and network teams on connectivity, certificates, firewall requirements, SSO and secure communication between SAP and connected systems.
- Provide technical architecture guidance for HA/DR, backup, recovery, availability, performance and operational readiness within the agreed RISE service model.
- Establish clear responsibility boundaries between SAP, customer teams, implementation partner and third-party providers for Basis and infrastructure activities.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and coordinate resolution of complex Basis, infrastructure, connectivity and performance issues across relevant teams.
- Support Go/No-Go decision-making by providing technical readiness status, critical risks, dependencies and remediation plans.
- Ensure appropriate technical documentation, architecture decisions, operational procedures and knowledge transition are completed before handover to steady-state support.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12–15 years of SAP Basis / SAP Technical Architecture experience.
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations or transformation programs.
- Hands-on architectural experience with RISE with SAP environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP Basis administration and SAP HANA architecture.
- Experience supporting technical migration/cutover of complex SAP landscapes.
- Understanding of Selective Data Transition, system conversion and data migration dependencies from a Basis/technical architecture perspective.
- Strong knowledge of SAP landscape architecture, sizing considerations, system refreshes/copies, transports, interfaces, connectivity and technical operations.
- Experience with SAP Cloud Connector, SAP BTP and SAP Cloud ALM is desirable.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, certificates, secure communication, firewalls, SSO and hybrid cloud connectivity relevant to SAP landscapes.
- Experience collaborating with SAP and managing RISE service requests, technical dependencies and issue escalations.
- Ability to coordinate technical activities across SAP, implementation partners, customer infrastructure, security, network and application teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with enterprise architects and senior program leadership.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience transitioning from ECC to S/4HANA under RISE with SAP.
- Experience with Selective Data Transition / SDT programs.
- Experience with large, complex and globally integrated SAP landscapes.
- Exposure to SAP BTP and hybrid integration architectures.
- Experience with large-scale mock cutovers, production migrations and hypercare.
- Experience working in multi-vendor SAP transformation programs.
