Job Title: Cook - Per Diem
Department: Food and Nutrition Services
Location: Clifton Springs Hospital

Hours Per Week: Per Diem / As Needed to fill in for other cooks
Schedule: 8 hour Shifts with alternating Weekends
Shifts are either 5:30am to 1:30pm or 10am to 6pm
Position Summary:
To prepare and cook food items and baked goods for patients/residents, cafeteria, catering, vending, and all retail operations within RGHS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items and baked goods according to daily assignments.
- Maintain sufficient supplies of hot and cold foods for daily needs.
- Assists Senior Cook in food preparation as requested.
- Maintains the highest level of customer service as outlined by department and RGHS policies.
- Follows all departmental HAACP procedures including logging of all temperatures. Cleans all equipment used in accordance with New York State Sanitation Code, Chapter 1, Part 14.
- Responsible for attending all scheduled meetings and retaining all In-service information requested
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2-4 years previous experience in related field preferred
