What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, Fund Accounting position at Cliffwater?
Cliffwater, LLC is currently accepting resumes for the position of Associate, Fund Accounting to join our growing team of investment professionals focused on middle market direct lending strategies. The position is primarily responsible for fund accounting and pricing for Cliffwater’s direct lending funds.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Prepare and reconcile daily position files for funds Cliffwater Corporate Lending Fund (CCLFX) and Cliffwater Enhanced Lending Fund (CELFX)
- Maintain and update daily valuation schedules and other accounting reports for all fund investments including middle market loans, private investment funds, preferred and common equity and warrants
- Incorporate updated prices, valuations and valuation inputs into daily pricing files
- Liaise with co-investment counterparty and internal teams to collect investment inputs and other valuation documentation related to end-of-day net asset values (NAV)
- Work with all relevant parties during audit cycles to provide necessary documentation and reports to the auditors
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or related field with 1-3 years of finance or accounting experience, with audit experience a plus. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft programs. Candidates must be detail-oriented, familiar with Cliffwater’s research, be able to meet tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills.
The position will be located in Cliffwater’s Los Angeles office.
