JOB SUMMARY
Cliff’s Cabinet Company is seeking a Sales Representative to drive revenue growth by increasing new sales, repeat business, and customer satisfaction.
The Sales Representative plays a critical role in consultative selling and gathering measurements, specifications, and details for cabinetry. This role is crucial to the company's success—from selling new business to ensuring customer satisfaction through each step in our process, you’ll help us meet revenue goals and grow our business. You’ll work closely with Nashville’s best builders, as well as Cliff’s cabinet designers, most senior salesperson, and the General Manager of Production. This role reports directly to the President.
Responsibilities
- Hit quarterly sales targets by cultivating a steady stream of business opportunities from potential and existing building contractors and other customers
- Attend on-site appointments with contractors and customers to gather accurate measurements and specifications
- Guide contractors and customers through cabinetry selection
- Ensure a smooth handoff to cabinet designers by equipping them with accurate notes on measurements, details, and customer selections
- Accurately prepare quotes based on standard pricing, job complexity, time, and material costs
- Assists in resolving collection issues, if needed
About You (Requirements and Qualifications)
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent GED
- 2 years of experience in cabinetry sales, including kitchens, baths, wardrobes/closets, libraries, home offices, pantries, and outdoor kitchens. You’re familiar with contemporary and traditional manufactured cabinetry design and sales
- Track record of hitting sales targets and goals
- Ability to maintain friendly, cooperative relations with customers, vendors, company personnel, and management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to anticipate problems and tactfully handle difficult situations
- Willingness to learn - Comfortable performing other tasks or assignments as delegated by the Cabinet Design or General Manager of Production
- You’re a reliable teammate. You’re professional, consistently at work and on time, and ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent
Salary and commission structure is dependent on experience, knowledge, and skills. The role includes an hourly salary plus commission.
