Teen Director

Schedule: Monday to Friday 1:30pm-6:30pm

Key Functions: The Teen Director should be able to plan, initiate and supervise organized activities for club members between the ages of 12-18. They should demonstrate creative thinking and project management abilities. They shall have the ability to deal effectively with Club members, including disciplinary issues. They should be able to build supportive relationships with Club members, staff members, and community partners. They should be willing to be responsive to the suggestions of the Unit Director.

Major Job Segments:

Above all, the Teen Director is responsible for the safety and welfare of Club youth within his or her assigned area.

Ensure members actively participate in a variety of programs and activities, seek advice and guidance from staff in regard to problems and receive caring supervision, respect and recognition while in the Club.

Organize and implement a range of program services and activities for members that are fun, instructional and safe.

Implement career readiness programs, volunteer opportunities, college and career visits, etc.

Ensure safety, positive values and ethical behavior through program quality and the appearance of the Club, at all times.

Supervise the care and maintenance of the facilities, equipment and supplies, ensuring that they are adequately and safely stored at the close of the day and that the work area is left in a clean and neat condition.

Report to the Club as scheduled to organize and prepare activities before arrival of Club members.

Refer all serious disciplinary issues to the Area Director or Chief Operating Officer.

Assist with additional functions of the Club as assigned.

Assume other duties as they may be assigned by the Area Director or Chief Operating Officer.

Accountability: The Teen Director is responsible to the Unit Director.
