The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, located in Santa Barbara, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Racquets Professional! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. The Ritz-Carlton Bacara is a luxury resort and club located along California’s stunning Central Coast. Featuring four Har-Tru clay courts, the club offers a premier racquets experience for resort guests and members alike.
Pay:
$17.00 - $55.00 per hour
Clinic Hours:
We offer clinics Monday - Sunday beginning at 8am-6pm depending on the day.
General Purpose:
Provide an exceptional racquet sports experience by delivering high-quality instruction and outstanding customer service. Teaches a variety of racquet programs including junior and adult clinics, private lessons, and special events. This position is ideal for someone passionate about on-court instruction and looking to work flexible hours, including mornings and/or evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides instruction (private and group) for players of all skill levels, from beginner through advanced
- Assists in promoting and conducting tennis clinics, private lessons, special events, and programs to attract and retain members and guests
- Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive lessons that encourage long-term participation in racquet sports
- Assists in supervising play and ensures proper charging of fees
- Ensures students understand rules, scoring procedures, safety guidelines, and proper etiquette
- Enforces all club rules and regulations regarding facility and equipment use
- Performs racquet stringing
- Responds promptly and professionally to member and guest questions, comments, and concerns
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- Demonstrates a positive attitude through courtesy, professionalism, and strong hospitality skills
- Performs other duties as required
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience
Physical Demands:
- Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, hears, reaches, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls
- Occasionally sits
- Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
Environment/Noise:
- Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions
- Noise level is moderate
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

Skill level equivalent to a minimum 4.0 USTA rating
