Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Specialist for a direct hire/permanent role in Granitevillle, SC.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Employee/ Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the well-being of employees including:
- Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace
- Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions
- Investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence
- Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee health and safety
- Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies
Additional duties may include:
- Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision
- Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals
- Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
- Uses advanced analytical/technical problem-solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures
- Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- BS Safety Management or related field & 2 or more years of safety and health experience OR MS Safety Management or related field and minimal safety and health experience
Preferred:
- ASP
- Authorized OSHA
- General Industry Training
- Manufacturing Exp Disaster
- Fire Prevention Experience
Additional Information
This permanent/ direct hire role can work onsite/ in the office in Graniteville, SC. This role will pay between $85,000 – $90,000 per year, plus a 10% annual bonus (total compensation: $93,500- $99,000 per year) and include a comprehensive benefits package. Relocation assistance is available for candidates who wish to relocate to South Carolina for this role.
