Senior Electronic Technician

Clientmind Recruiting is searching for an experienced Senior Electronics Technician for a position in Frederick, MD. The role is responsible for electronics testing, troubleshooting, and limited assembly work in a hands-on lab environment. This role partners closely with engineering and operations teams to diagnose issues, analyze failures, and ensure high-quality performance of electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure diagnostics, analysis, and troubleshooting of production and prototype hardware.
• Support engineering with test setup, data collection, and measurement analysis.
• Interpret schematics and board layouts to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain, calibrate, and organize lab equipment and tools.
• Complete limited electro-mechanical assembly for prototypes or analysis tasks.
• Document test results, repairs, and root causes to support continuous improvement.
• Occasionally travel to nearby sites for testing or equipment support.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience as an electronics technician or equivalent.
• Completion of an electronics technician program certificate (or equivalent required).
• Strong troubleshooting, measurement, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, analyzers).
• Experience with soldering and rework; IPC-610 and J-STD-001 certifications preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities independently.
• Must be eligible for a U.S. security clearance.
