What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Product Manager-(Sales) position at Client of www.terconsultingma.com?
IDEAL PROFILE:
- Direction-setters, not coordinators. They need someone who owns product calls with conviction. The most common reason they have passed on otherwise strong candidates is that they read as collaborators who defer big decisions upward. In screens, you need to listen for clear decisions they made and owned, not "influenced" or diffused credit.
- Hands-on AI builders. Everyone says they use AI. They are looking for people who are actually shipping product with it, ideally with something they've built themselves they can point to. Personal ChatGPT usage doesn't clear the bar.
This company that offers AI infrastructure that automates campaign workflows for the Some of the world's largest service firms and data providers. The platform runs on-premises within their partners' cloud environments, sits directly on top of their data, and enables teams to productionize agentic AI workflows at enterprise scale with full security and governance control.
The company's approach already powers some of the biggest names in in the industry. The platform with this company helped and won an Mega-Million dollar account. The platform they build is a global AI planning system, on the infrastructure. LG Ad Solutions uses this company to unlock real-time intelligence from ACR data.
A small, fast-growing team, and every person that work for this company help shapes what their biggest players do next.
Their process to build with AI the way they expect their partners to run on it: aggressively, thoughtfully, and in production. Agentic coding is foundational to how the engineering team works, and that extends to product. PMs here don't stop at documents: they use AI throughout their workflow and build working prototypes with agentic coding tools to make ideas concrete, pressure-test them with customers, and hand engineering something running rather than something written.
If you already work this way, turning a customer conversation into a clickable prototype in an afternoon, you'll feel at home. If you're still evaluating whether AI tools belong in a PM's daily work, this probably isn't the right role.
As a Senior Product Manager, you'll sit at the intersection of frontier AI technology and client's transformations — working directly with industry leaders to reshape how they operate in the AI era. You'll split your time between collaborating with our engineering and design teams and working directly with customers to deeply understand their workflows. This isn't just about building features: you'll build on our vision for how AI can transform agency operations and carry it from concept to market adoption, leading brainstorming sessions with senior agency leaders, demoing new capabilities, and guiding product development with both strategic insight and hands-on execution.
This role is built for owners. Product direction at a fast-moving AI startup is rarely fully defined and often shifts as we learn from customers. We're looking for someone who treats that as the fun part: someone who takes a partially-shaped problem, drives it to a well-shaped product direction, and ships great products without waiting for certainty. Your judgment will directly shape what the company builds next.
What you'll do
- Discover and define: deeply understand common workflows and jobs-to-be-done within media agencies, identifying opportunities where AI can create transformational value
- Prototype with AI: use agentic coding tools to turn ideas into working demos, validating direction with customers and engineering before a line of production code is written
- Translate vision into reality: convert customer insights into clear product requirements and running prototypes for our engineering and design teams
- Lead product development: set direction and guide cross-functional teams through the product creation process, course-correcting as solutions come to life
- Engage with customers: present and demo solutions to senior leaders, gathering feedback and building relationships that inform product strategy
- Make decisive calls: use your product instinct to recognize strong versus weak product directions quickly and set the right course forward
- Build credibility: earn the trust of both world-class engineers internally and C-level stakeholders externally through your technical depth and leadership presence
Who you are
- Proven product leadership: a track record of shipping impressive software products, with roles of increasing responsibility
- You've deeply integrated AI into your daily workflow; you use it for research synthesis, analysis, drafting, and prototyping, and you can build a working demo with agentic coding tools without waiting on an engineer
- You thrive on ownership: you've repeatedly taken loosely defined or shifting priorities and delivered great products anyway, filling gaps with judgment rather than waiting for direction
- Technical foundation: a CS, Engineering, or Design background, and the credibility to lead teams of software engineers and designers in building great products
- Domain expertise: experience in AI startups or AdTech product companies, with knowledge of AI technology with operations strongly preferred
- Strong product instinct: you immediately recognize good versus bad product decisions, think fast on your feet, and set direction rather than just relay information
- Executive presence: you command the room with senior leaders, keeping pace with (and ideally leading) strategic conversations and demos
- Travel flexibility: willing to spend significant time in NYC working directly with customers
Bonus points
- Public artifacts of your AI-native workflow: prototypes you've shipped with agentic coding tools, published MCP servers, or writing about how you work with AI
- Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered products: agent experiences, evals, or AI-native workflow tools
- Direct experience with media agency operations, programmatic advertising, or marketing analytics
- Previous early-stage startup experience
