Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Duties
As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implementing individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' well-being.
- Supporting clients in social activities and community engagement to foster independence.
- Monitoring clients' health and behavior, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks as needed.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in human services or related fields providing direct care
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals that cater to specific dietary requirements of clients.
- A patient, empathetic approach towards caregiving is essential for success in this role.
