Job Description:

The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.

Education:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required

Experience:

  • 6 Months Nursing - Acute Care Preferred
  • Minimum1000 hours in an RN role in an acute care setting with medical-surgical, telemetry patients within the last 2 years. – Non-core Requirement

Certifications/Licensures:

  • RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
  • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Core Requirement
  • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association - Required prior to completion of orientation to the assigned area
  • Must have passed approved pre-employment cardiac rhythm exam. – Non-core Requirement
  • Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test – Internal Candidates Must Pass Prior to Applying for Position (must be proctored in Human Resources) – Required

Skills:

Non-Core:

  • Must be able to manage complex renal metabolic patients within 6 months.
  • Demonstrates competency in the management of hemodialysis patients, pre and post treatment.
  • Must meet clinical core qualifications within 12 months.

Work Shift:

12.0 - 07:00 - 20:00 No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$77.04 - $104.97

Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
