What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Assistant Teacher position at CLEVERBEE ACADEMY LLC?
As an Assistant Teacher at Clever Bee Academy, you’ll support the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing classroom and help plan and implement activities that foster children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. You’ll also keep the classroom organized and communicate with families about their child’s progress. Minimum Requirements:
- 18 years or older; High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of experience working in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI Background Check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some completion of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- CPL II or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire (CDA sponsorship available)
Responsibilities & Skills:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth for young children
- Provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment and supervise children during daily routines, outdoor play, and field trips
- Communicate regularly with parents and families to share progress and build strong relationships
- Maintain an organized, clean classroom while using strong communication, organization, and child development knowledge to support learning
