Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role is responsible for the care, supervision, and education of children aged 18 months to 36 months, supporting their development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains through age-appropriate play and learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that encourage exploration and learning through play.
- Maintain a warm, respectful, and responsive environment that supports toddlers’ emotional and physical needs.
- Foster social development through group play, circle time, songs, and storytelling.
- Promote self-help and independence through structured routines and gentle guidance.
- Monitor and document children’s progress and behavior, and communicate regularly with families.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom that complies with state licensing standards.
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and daily communication reports.
- Collaborate with fellow staff and support a team-based classroom culture.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Clever Cubs in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent credential Required
- Spanish Speaker, a plus
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with preschoolers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to lift 30 lbs, stand/kneel/bend as needed, and actively engage with toddlers throughout the day.
- Passion for early childhood education and a patient, loving approach to child development.
