About the Role
Clever Bee Academy is seeking a caring, dependable Assistant Teacher to support classroom learning and help create a safe, nurturing environment for children. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Lead Teacher to support daily activities, classroom organization, and positive relationships with families. This is a great opportunity for someone beginning or growing their career in early childhood education.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Supervise children during daily routines, outdoor play, and center activities
- Communicate positively and professionally with families to support relationships and share updates
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and materials
- Use strong communication, organization, and child development skills to support daily learning experiences
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of experience working in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Ohio Career Pathways Level II or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification upon hire (CDA sponsorship available)

Pay & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay: $15.00–$16.50 per hour (based on experience and credentials)

Sign-on Bonus will be awarded as follows:
- After 30 days of employment: $500
- After 60 days of employment: Additional $250
