Job Summary
As an academic advisor assigned to work under federal guidelines on the TRIO/SSS Program, the primary focus of this position is to ensure compliance with TRIO/SSS Program regulations. Provides comprehensive advising and student services support for students, with a focus on services that promote student success and retention. Coordinates the qualitative and quantitative experience of all Program students in assigned caseload. Assumes responsibility for the following initiatives: academic, personal, and career advising and counseling; developing intervention/referral strategies; assessment and tracking of student caseload; facilitating a successful transition to appropriate college program. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in the field of student personnel services, adult learning & development, counseling, guidance, education, or a related field of study
