Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation procedures
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and janitorial tools to ensure optimal performance
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to health standards to promote a safe environment
- Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed
- Manage outdoor work responsibilities like trash removal, outdoor surface cleaning, and maintaining entryways
- Use cleaning detergents safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines to prevent injury
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their specific cleaning needs and preferences to ensure satisfaction
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in residential or commercial settings is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and sanitation protocols is highly desirable
- Experience with laundry operations and outdoor cleaning tasks will be advantageous
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the day
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks confidently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards
