The Director of Digital Marketing Strategy develops and oversees Cleveland Metroparks digital initiatives and online presence to elevate awareness of the park district’s mission, increase community engagement, and maximize cost recovery. This role leads the Digital Marketing, Social Media, and Retail teams to enhance the guest experience, improve team efficiency, and drive revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing leadership, experience managing creative and strategic marketing initiatives, and a proven ability to drive brand performance through research, data analysis, and innovative outreach strategies.
Essential Functions:
- Management & Leadership:
- Effectively supervises and develops assigned employees, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Directs workflow, sets schedules, monitors productivity, and ensures compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Promotes a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Digital Marketing Strategy:
- Oversees and optimizes digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and paid media.
- Develops and executes integrated marketing strategies that align digital, social media, and paid advertising efforts.
- Collaborates with ITS to track and analyze digital performance, leveraging insights to refine strategies.
- Retail Merchandising & E-Commerce:
- Leads and implements a unified retail merchandising strategy across Cleveland Metroparks locations, including NatureShops, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, marinas, golf courses, concessions, mobile pop-ups, and online platforms.
- Expands product visibility and revenue streams through strategic partnerships and distribution channels.
- Strategic Planning & Innovation:
- Establishes annual plans, goals, budgets, and calendars to drive digital marketing and retail initiatives.
- Identifies and implements new digital technologies to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.
- Ensures a seamless digital customer journey by developing targeted content strategies for diverse audience segments.
