Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on inventory management, order fulfillment, and efficient shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and be comfortable operating various types of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Execute picking and packing tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including packaging products for delivery.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Participate in training sessions for new warehouse procedures or equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds) as required.
- Experience with order picking, stocking, and materials handling techniques.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to warehouse operations, including OSHA standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
