PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for filming and editing video content for the Cleveland Guardians, with a primary role in supporting video production and contributing to various projects as required. Involved in multiple aspects of the gameday content creation process, including shooting, editing, and managing assets. Tasked with creating rapid-turnaround video highlight packages to enhance fan engagement and tell a compelling story.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Video Production
- Collaborate closely with the production group, including seasonal shooters, to meticulously log and organize footage
- Assist Live Experience department with larger production shoots and projects as needed
- Create “day-of” video content captured for playback in-game and/or social media
- Act as video support for special and community event content
- Demonstrate extensive understanding of video and photo editing in a fast-paced in-game environment
- Capture in-game action, as well as player skits/portraits as needed
- Troubleshoot technical and practical problems that may occur
- Contribute to the maintenance of the digital asset library for the production team, including asset tagging and organization
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Film, Broadcasting, Video Production or related field – or equivalent professional experience
- Previous experience in operating video cameras and logging footage
- Vast knowledge of Premiere Pro or comparable editing software
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (including but not limited to: Audition, Photoshop, Bridge)
- Knowledge of various cameras and audio equipment
- Knowledge of video compression and file formats
- Awareness of popular culture and trending topics
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Robust background in video editing and live event production
- Must have knowledge (or ability to learn quickly) of baseball rules and understanding of baseball scoring
- Awareness of popular culture and trending topics
- Desire to work in a collaborative and innovative atmosphere
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly-organized, with good time management skills and attention to detail
- Capable of working effectively under deadline pressure
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended (up to four hour) periods
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Available to work extended hours annually, especially during season for all home games as dictated by job responsibilities and workload
- Flexible to be available days, nights, weekends, holidays, as necessary

The expected hourly rate range for this position is $21.00 - $27.75. This range serves as a general guideline; actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
