- Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a teaching license in the CTE Health Science Education - Registered Nurse license area (720).
- Eligibility for a provisional license must be established prior to a contract offer.
- Candidates who hold or are eligible to hold a teaching license in the CTE Health Science Education - Non-Registered Nurse license area (721) will also be considered.
- Non-licensed provisional candidates for the CTE Health Science Education - Non-Registered Nurse license area are eligible based up holding a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a non-RN, Allied Health medical field from a state or nationally accredited institution. Applicants must also have an active NC license, registration, or certification clear of any restrictions in the same field as the educational degree. Two years of industry-related work experience.
- Examples of related non-RN Health Sciences degrees include:
- Physical Therapist, Radiological Technologist, Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Dietetics/Nutrition Technologist, Histological Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Phlebotomist, Physician Assistant, Radiation Therapy Technologist, Dental Hygienist, Physician
- Eligibility for a provisional license must be established prior to a contract offer.
