As a Senior Athletic Trainer, you support our mission of enhancing health outcomes for professional, amateur and recreational athletes. In this role, you will recognize, manage and rehabilitate injuries, providing appropriate techniques for healing and preventing further complications. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 10:30AM - 7:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Prepare athletes for practice and/or competition.
- Evaluate and manage injuries and determine whether a referral is necessary.
- Maintain a medical file on each athlete and act as a liaison for communication between the physician and athlete.
- Implement treatment and rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a physician.
- Develop conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes.
- Assist with training new Athletic Trainers and act as a technical resource, as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Completion of an Athletic Training Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
- Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers Board of Certification (NATBOC)
- State licensure as an Athletic Trainer (AT)
- Basic Life Support (BSL), Healthcare Provider Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Four years of experience as an Athletic Trainer

Physical Requirements:
- Position requires full body motion including handling and lifting up to 50 pounds; manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing, sitting and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Must be able to work in settings with infectious diseases.
- Individual may be required to drive to other locations
