TheLevel IVNeonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)at Hillcrest Hospital is dedicated to deliveringthe highest quality, family-centered care to ill neonate and extremely low birth weight infants.Thisteamprovides 24-hour neonatology services, evidence-based nursingpracticeand advanced respiratory care, such as high-frequency ventilation and inhaled nitric oxide.As an RN, you serve as an essential support person in the NICU. In this role, you will interact directly with babies,theirfamiliesand visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance thetreatmentexperience and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources,including furtheringeducationand online/in-person courses to enhanceyourskills.

A caregiver in this position worksa day/night rotation from 7:00pm to 7:30am or 7:00am to 7:30pm. Requirements include every other weekend and holiday. No on-call requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide direct patient care to neonatesin accordance withestablished healthcare organization policies,procedures,and protocols.Implements and monitors patient care plans.

• Monitor,record,andcommunicatepatient condition asappropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carryout physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinatepatient'sdischarge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accreditedSchool ofProfessionalNursing(ADN or BSN program)

• Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)CertificationthroughtheAmerican Heart Association (AHA)within one year of hire

• Basic Life Support (BLS)Certificationthrough American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

• Oneyear ofexperience in an acute care hospital setting

• Will consider licensed military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor'sof Science in Nursing (BSN)

• NICU experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
• Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
