Neuroradiologist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a board certified Diagnostic Neuroradiologist with an American Board of Radiology Subspecialty Certification in Neuroradiology for an open position of Associate Staff; candidates who are currently in or who have recently graduated from an ACGME accredited Neuroradiology fellowship are also encouraged to apply.   

This is a stable and collegial group of 27 Neuroradiologists that is growing.  Work-life balance is achieved through a well-established hybrid work model with both on-site and off-site postings (must live locally); there are an average of 2-3 off-site postings per week and all evening and weekend duty is off-site with workstations supplied by the institution. Aside from diagnostic Neuroradiology examinations (CT, MR, and US) on both adult and pediatric patients, candidates should be comfortable with spine procedures (lumbar punctures and myelography) which are shared with a team of imaging advanced practitioners.  There is opportunity to participate in the imaging-guided biopsy service (US or CT) if this is an interest of the applicant.  Cerebral angiography is not performed by the Neuroradiology section.  There are extensive research opportunities.  This position presents an excellent opportunity for professional growth with the benefits of practicing in a collaborative environment with excellent colleagues.

There are many opportunities for education.  Staff candidates have the opportunity to apply to become faculty at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.  There is a Diagnostic Neuroradiology fellowship and a Diagnostic Radiology residency program with a total of 32 residents. A 1-month medical student clerkship is offered and approximately 50 medical students rotate through the department each year.

State licensure in Ohio, Florida, and Nevada are required.  Aside from Cleveland Clinic main campus, on-site work is also performed at Hillcrest Hospital.  Aside from Cleveland Clinic main campus and its family health centers, examinations are interpreted from CCF Lou Ruvo Las Vega, Canton Mercy Hospital, Lodi Community Hospital, Indian River Hospital Vero Beach FL, Ashtabula Regional Medical Center, Weston Hospital Weston Florida, Marymount Hospital, Union Hospital, Avon Hospital, Fairview General Hospital, Medina Hospital, South Pointe Hospital, Euclid Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, Akron General Hospital, Mentor Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, and Martin Medical Center Stuart Florida.

Neuroradiology staff maintain close working relationships with primary referring centers in the Neurological, Pediatric, Cancer, Medicine, and Head and Neck departments to promote clinical innovation and research. Research efforts are supported by dedicated high field and ultra-high field MRI machines and dedicated MR and CT physicists.
