Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a medical-surgical setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, and wound suturing, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, interpret laboratory results, and perform diagnostic evaluations to inform clinical decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient discharge planning, education, and follow-up care.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation of patient information and medical records management.
• Assist with complex procedures including catheterization, tube feeding management, and ventilator support when necessary.
• Respond promptly to acute pain episodes or emergencies such as trauma or critical illness within Level I or Level II trauma center environments.
• Engage in infection control practices and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in hospital or outpatient settings.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal units, or behavioral health environments.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing, and wound suturing.
• Knowledge of critical care procedures including airway management, ventilator support, and acute pain management.
• Prior experience in emergency medicine or trauma medicine at a Level I or Level II trauma center is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments accurately while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Pay: $2,400.00 - $2,500.00 per week
